What Is An "Apostolic Hub"?
An Apostolic Hub is a ministry center focused on equipping believers in the 5-fold ministry roles outlined in Ephesians 4 - apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. However, it is not a church itself. Rather, Apostolic Hubs exist for the purpose of training, activating, and deploying people into their divine callings using their spiritual gifts, and across the 5 ministries of Ephesians 4 for the building up of the entire Church.
How Do Apostolic Hubs Work?
The core aim is to raise up, nurture, and release believers to walk in the fullness of their gifts and callings, not just gather a congregation. Apostolic Hubs serve as regional equipping centers that facilitate regular gatherings, intensive trainings, impartation, and other opportunities to develop the 5-fold ministry. Instead of traditional one-man-show christianity that the world is used to (i.e. one person preaching from stage each Sunday), an Apostolic Hub is designed to empower, grow, mature, and utilize every single person's gifts and talents spiritually and practically to be the church, instead of "go" to church. This is done through regular gatherings, workshops, equipping and training outreaches, and more.
Who Leads Apostolic Hubs?
Apostolic Hubs are led by apostolic teams working together, not just a single leader. They are led by the Five-Fold ministry listed in Ephesians 4: Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, and Teacher. They provide spiritual parenting, oversight, and alignment for the body of Christ in their sphere of influence. A key role is planting, overseeing, and supporting house churches, micro-churches, and other expressions of the church across their region.
The apostolic teams train and deploy people to start new works, make disciples, reach the lost, and expand God's Kingdom locally and abroad. They equip believers to become fruitful ministers of the gospel in the 5-fold way God intended, fulfilling Ephesians 4:11-13:
"And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God..."
In Summary...
At its core, an Apostolic Hub is about making disciples and developing the Church to become a mature, unified, and glorious Bride serving Christ's mission in the earth. It embodies the spirit of co-laboring to see the manifested sons and daughters of God emerge in communities locally and globally.
"Apostolic ministry is about building foundations that will stand the test of time and advance the Kingdom of God."
- John Eckhardt
